I. THICK SMOKE

Why is thick smoke deadly?
1. It’s very toxic
2. It expands fast
3. It’s temperature is very high.

“Thick smoke is the first killer at the scene of a fire. “

Most people are not burnt to death. Instead, they are choked to death by heavy smoke.

II. MILD FIRE , RUN; THICK SMOKE, SHUT (THE DOOR).

1. Mild fire, run.
If you find the fire accident early, you should escape immediately and leave the scene.

2. Thick smoke, shut (the door).
If you find the fire accident late or the fire has already expanded, DO NOT run outwards but shut the door immediately when you find the door entrance is filled with thick smoke and heigh heat upon opening the door.

The purposes to shut and escape:
*Block thick smoke
*Get more time
*Await rescue
